Dysha Waites is a CCOF Future Organic Farmers Grantee.
Dysha Waites has completed the Farmer Starter Program through Farmshare Austin in Cedar Creek, TX and works as the Farm Direct Specialist for the Sustainable Food Center.
She says, “Prioritizing regenerative practices aligns with my values of environmental stewardship and sustainability, benefiting ecosystems now and for future generations…my education in organic agriculture provides me with a deep understanding of sustainable land stewardship principles.”
Waites uses her profound appreciation for environmentally-friendly practices as a guide for the shape and growth of her career. “Whether I’m managing my own farm or collaborating with others in the organic agriculture community, this knowledge will serve as a compass, ensuring that I remain committed to sustainable practices regardless of my path.”
Embracing principles of Indigenous wisdom, Waites deeply engages with regenerative farming practices to sustain and enhance soil health and ecosystems. She says, “My goal is to share this knowledge through teaching and consulting, empowering individuals to practice organic methods on a small scale. By fostering a deeper connection to the land, I aspire to contribute to a resilient organic community where regenerative practices flourish for generations.”
