Auditors who would like to gain in-depth and updated knowledge of the GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance Standard and who wish to become better acquainted with the new IFA v6 GFS Plants standard. The course will assist in the phase-in process utilizing the IFA v6 GFS FV standard and some emphasis will be given to the differences between IFA v6 Plants and other currently commonly used standards such as GLOBALG.A.P. Harmonized Produce Safety Standard (HPSS).
About the Instructor: Astrid holds an MSc Degree in Agricultural Science from University of Copenhagen, Denmark and has over 25 years of experience working in the U.S. fresh produce and other U.S. farm industries. Astrid started out her career as an independent pest management consultant for perennial fresh produce growers, with a focus on soft IPM programs and organic programs. For the last 10+ years, Astrid has worked as
Agricultural Production Compliance Specialist, Auditor Trainer and Public Trainer for several Certification Bodies. Astrid now works full time at CCOF as a Senior Food Safety Certification Specialist. A core objective for much of Astrid’s career has been to help develop and implement programs that assist producers in implementing sustainable, safe and socially responsible farming practices that in turn will help the producers (small as well as large) gain better access to markets.
