“The Rustic Ramble is a self-guided farm and garden tour designed to connect visitors with the land, the farmers, and the beauty that define the Capay Valley. Wander orchards and working farms, explore private gardens rarely open to the public, meet the growers (and a few animals), and experience the valley at your own pace — one meaningful stop at a time.
Whether you’re here for the food, the farming, or a slow day in the countryside, the Rustic Ramble offers a deeper way to experience the Capay Valley. Proceeds from the event support Capay Valley Vision and Capay Valley Grown, helping sustain local agriculture, community programs, and future agritourism events in the Capay Valley.
Open Farm & Garden Trail: Invites participants to explore 20+ locations throughout the Capay Valley. Highlights include a ranch specializing in Arabian horses, private gardens brimming with California native plants, lavender farms, 40-year-old established cottage gardens, and fields producing organic fruits and vegetables and nuts.
Taste of Capay Picnic: Taste the products from al the farms you visit! At the Taste of Capay picnic enjoy small bites from local chefs, a beautiful grazing table, wine and olive oil samples and live music at Polestar Farm in Esparto!”
