California FarmLink is accepting applications for Growing on Solid Ground: A Land Access Course, a new 9-week hybrid program advancing equitable farmland access opportunities for farmers and ranchers in the San Diego region.
Through webinars, in-person sessions, optional farm tours, and individualized technical assistance, participants will gain practical tools, professional connections, and strategic guidance for pursuing long-term land tenure through leasing, purchasing, and other land access pathways.
Designed for small to medium-sized farmers and ranchers with at least two years of farming experience, agricultural training, or significant field experience, the course explores topics including land suitability assessment, land access planning, water access, climate smart farming practices, and land tenure.
Growing on Solid Ground reflects a broader commitment to strengthening regional leadership, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing around equitable land access and long-term farm viability in Southern California.
