On May 27 in Soledad, CA, Western Growers Science and the Coalition for Food Safety & Sustainability and the Agriculture Water Quality Alliance (AWQA) will be hosting a Vegetated Practices Field Day.
This field day will feature a site visit to Huntington Farms to see a vegetated ditch system in action, followed by discussions on how vegetated ditches, sediment basins and cover crops can support Ag Order 4.0 compliance, improve water quality and address food safety considerations.
This is a great opportunity to connect with growers, food safety professionals and sustainability leaders while learning practical strategies for water quality management and regulatory compliance.
CCOF is part of the Coalition for Food Safety and Sustainability, a group that uplifts sustainable agricultural practices that harmonize with on-farm food safety efforts. CCOF’s food safety certification program works alongside our USDA National Organic Program certifications.
