OTA to Talk Future of Organic at Organic Week in Washington D.C.

The Organic Trade Association (OTA) will hold its annual Organic Week Event during the week of May 20, 2019. Each year, small- and large-scale growers, companies, researchers, and policy advocates convene in Washington for a week of organic networking, policy advocacy, and education.  
 
Organic Week is comprised of three events: Member Day, Advocacy Day, and Conference Day.

Raising a Glass to Organic at Expo West

On Tuesday, March 3, the CCOF Foundation and the UNFI Foundation will co-host a cocktail hour at Natural Products Expo West to celebrate organic farmers and the next generation of skilled producers creating the organic future.  
 
The event will cap off powerful lectures at Expo West’s Climate Day, including a keynote address from Patagonia’s CEO and President Rose Marcario.

Santa Cruz local and author Jonathan Franzen presented the keynote talk at CCOF member the Homeless Garden Project’s August 24 Sustain Supper. You can now read his speech in The New Yorker!
 
About the Homeless Garden Project, he said, "In Santa Cruz, where I live, there’s an organization called the Homeless Garden Project. [. . .] It can’t 'solve' the problem of homelessness, but it’s been changing lives, one at a time, for nearly thirty years.

Regenerating Soil Health Focus of EcoFarm Conference 2018
