Episode 3 of Radio Organic: Transitioning to Organic Due to Customer Demand – CCOF Foundation

This week on “Radio Organic” get the real dirt on going organic. Patricia Rodríguez and her husband Rosario transitioned their strawberry farm to organic in the early 2000s. While the couple had extensive experience growing and marketing strawberries, they were new to organic production. Learning by doing, the couple transitioned their entire operation to organic on their own over a ten-year period.

Hear about their struggles during the transition, the benefits organic certification brought, and how their dedication to soil health has made them one of the go-to berry farms for farmers’ market customers in the San Francisco Bay Area.
