Up to $25,000 Available: Zero Foodprint Offers Grants to Farmers and Ranchers in CA, CO, OR, and WA

by Jane Sooby, Member Services Advocate |

Zero Foodprint’s Restore Grant Program, has just announced that they are accepting grant applications through Feb. 19 to implement farm practices that sequester atmospheric carbon into the form of soil organic carbon.

Eligible practices include compost application, installing alley cropping, cover cropping, and hedgerow planting. Grants ranging from $1,500 (minimum grant request) to $25,000 (maximum grant request) are available to implement at least one approved practice.

These funds are designed to help encourage broader adoption of regenerative agricultural practices and increase awareness and demand for ingredients produced with regenerative agriculture practices. Adopting these practices will improve soil health, water, nutrient management, and increase the value of the agricultural operation.

For complete details on eligible practices and requirements, explore the grant application packet.
