Each year, certified operations are required to submit an annual renewal contract and pay certification fees. You will receive a renewal package by mail and email in early November. Submit your contract and payment by January 1. This deadline allows CCOF to keep inspections as cost-effective as possible.
You may submit your contract and payment online at www.ccof.org/renew, through MyCCOF, by mail, or by phone at (831) 423-2263.
Renewal Timeline
- November: Renewal contracts and invoices sent by email and mail.
- January 1, 2025: All renewal contracts and annual payments are due.
- February 15: A Notice of Noncompliance and a $150 late fee will be issued to operations that have not completed the renewal process (contract and payment) or surrendered their certification. This is the last day to withdraw from certification without accruing 2025 certification fees.
Demographic Questions
We have included optional demographic questions with the renewal form. Please consider completing this short survey. CCOF uses demographic information to support you with programs and information about relevant resources. We maintain strict confidentiality and will never release your information to external parties.
Certification Fee Updates
CCOF Annual Certification Fees are increasing to address requirements of the National Organic Program 2024 Strengthening Organic Enforcement (SOE) rule updates and the increasing costs of doing business. We strive to keep costs as low as possible, make certification accessible, and remain competitive. The last time CCOF significantly increased annual fees was in 2018.
Fee changes include the following:
- An 8 percent average increase across all annual certification fee tiers.
- Removal of the minimum annual certification fee requirement for clients outside of the United States.
- Exempt Handler Affidavit (EHA) fee will be $75 per EHA and applies at initial approval and annually, as part of certification renewal.
- Export/Import Certificate updates that require a new certificate number will be billed a reissue fee of $75.
These fees are effective October 1, 2024, and will be reflected for existing clients on the 2025 Annual Renewal Invoice mailed to you in early November 2024.
