Last Chance to Apply for $5,000 to Transition to Certified Organic

by Adrian Fischer |

Want to take your farm forward and transition to organic? Maybe you’re already practicing organic methods and need that final incentive to get certified. Now is your chance to lessen the financial challenge of transition—apply for a $5,000 grant to help you make the transition to organic. Applications close next week on April 30, 2020—apply now!

Organic agriculture can sustainably feed us while promoting public health and prosperity. Communities across America should look to transitioning to organic agriculture as a tool to tackle the key challenges of our time: climate change, economic inequality, and heath inequity. The science is clear that organic benefits local economies, the environment, and people. That’s why CCOF has partnered with Anheuser Busch and their Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold Contract for Change program to provide financial support for farmers who are ready to transitioning to organic.

We are looking for farmers who are committed to the full three-year transition and to long-term organic production. We’ll prioritize applicants who are already farming, have a plan for transition to certified organic production, or who have identified a means to develop a plan for how they will transition their farm.

If you want to make the transition to organic, you may be eligible for a $5,000 grant. Producers of all crops are eligible. Applications close on April 30, 2020.
