Dr. Joji Muramoto, Associate Professor of Cooperative Extension at UC Santa Cruz and Associate Cooperative Extension Organic Agriculture Specialist at UC ANR, will receive the 2025 Eric Bradford and Charlie Rominger Agricultural Sustainability Leadership Award – as recently announced by the Agricultural Sustainability Institute (ASI) at UC Davis.
Muramoto was hired at UC ANR as the first UC Cooperative Extension Specialist who was fully dedicated to organic agriculture in 2019. He has worked closely with many CCOF growers, contributing substantially to the field of strawberry growing in California. His career spans 29 years of field-based research and important work with the soil science and agroecology community in California.
