Ag Order Workshops Offered for Growers in Central Coast Region

Beginning January 1, 2023, all growers with ranches located in Groundwater Phase 1 Areas must start maintaining records for all nitrogen applied to crops, total nitrogen removed during harvest, and irrigation management information. This information will be used to submit the Irrigation and Nutrient Management Plan (INMP) summary report, which is due March 1, 2024.

Beginning January 1, 2023, all growers with ranches located in Groundwater Phase 2 and 3 Areas must start maintaining records for all nitrogen applied to crops. This information will be used to submit the Total Nitrogen Applied (TNA) report, which is due March 1, 2024.

Two upcoming workshops will review the Agricultural Order requirements, specifically Total Nitrogen Applied (TNA) and Irrigation and Nutrient Management Plan (INMP) recordkeeping requirements.

WORKSHOP AGENDA: The first part of each workshop will focus on TNA recordkeeping, intended for all growers. The second part of the workshop will focus on INMP recordkeeping, intended for growers in Groundwater Phase 1 Areas. The same content will be presented during both the English and Spanish workshops.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

For the 2023 recordkeeping period, growers who have previously submitted a TNA report will continue to do so unless their ranch is in a Groundwater Phase 1 Area.
