Organic Grower Summit Offers Special Rate to CCOF Members

The annual Organic Grower Summit has become the go-to winter organic conference in California. Located in Monterey, California, the summit features a trade show, a program of speakers and seminars, and a multitude of networking opportunities.This year, the Organic Grower Summit will be held December 4–5, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Monterey, beginning with a 7:00 a.m. breakfast on December 4. CCOF has a special arrangement with the Summit to offer $200 off the usual registration cost for CCOF-certified operations. CCOF members can register online with a special rate on a two-day registration.

CCOF’s Chief Program Office Jessy Beckett Parr will moderate a panel on December 4 at 10:00 a.m. called What’s available to farmers transitioning to organic: Growers and experts share tools and best practices. The panel will feature Bill Brosseau, Dick Peixoto, Ramy Colfer, and Jaime Lopez.

Other panels include the following:

  • Will ag tech make organic farms more profitable?
  • Regenerating Soil Health with Organic Practices
  • A whole systems approach to managing pests and weeds? A rundown on best practices
  • Can organics become a $144 billion market?
  • Organic, regenerative or both: What does the market want? Grower and retailer point of view
  • How’s SOE going so far? This panel will feature Deputy Administrator of USDA Agricultural Marketing Service and head of the National Organic Program Jenny Tucker.

California Secretary of Food and Agriculture Karen Ross will open the keynote presentation and Grower of the Year award ceremony over lunch on December 5.
