Organic Transition Grant—Last Call for Cycle 1 Applications!

Grants Available for Transitioning to Organic!

The CCOF Foundation is accepting applications through August 2 for the Organic Transition Program, a grant fund for farmers and ranchers in California who are interested in transitioning their land to certified organic production.

Organic Transition Grants provide farmers with financial support, mentorship, and technical assistance in agronomy, business, and financial literacy, as well as marketing and market development over three years.

Grant amount: $10,000 per year for three years, for a total of $30,000

There may be the opportunity for eligible transitioning farmers to qualify for an additional $1,000 per transitioning acre, up to 30 acres, for soil-building practices.

The first round of applications will be accepted July 8–August 2, 2024.
The second round of applications will be accepted October 7–November 1, 2024. Additional rounds are anticipated in early 2025.
