Heads up for Producers and Copackers of Fresh Produce in Mexico

SENASICA, in coordination with the State Plant Health Committees, is conducting unannounced sampling of fresh produce as part of the Program for the Surveillance of Microbiological Contaminants in Vegetables. The goal of this program is to assess the safety conditions in the primary production of vegetables from family farms and local growers.

be ready to welcome inspectors to your facilities. They may collect samples from production units and/or packing areas in the field. These inspections help maintain and strengthen measures to prevent contamination, ensuring the safety of fresh agricultural products for human consumption and export.

These visits can happen at any time, and the number of operations to be inspected is unknown. NO ACTION IS REQUIRED. We’re sharing this information as a courtesy, as requested by SENASICA, in case your operation is selected for this random sampling. Please direct any questions to SENASICA at info.organicos@senasica.gob.mx.
