CCOF is offering two 16-hour, virtual led courses to provide growers of plants with key insights and understandings of the GLOBALG.A.P. requirements for the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Plants Version 6 SMART and GFS. Come join CCOF to learn about the various certification options, requirements and how to prepare your operation for the transition to GLOBALGAP Version 6 audit in the 2024 season. Mandatory audits to v6-GFS could come as early as September of 2024.

Intended Audiences: Producers, Operations Managers, Supplier Program Managers, Industry Professionals, Retailers and GLOBALG.A.P. G.A.P. Auditors who would like to gain in-depth and updated knowledge of the GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance Standard and who wish to become better acquainted with the new IFA v6 GFS Plants standard. The course will assist in the phase-in process utilizing the IFA v6 GFS FV standard and some emphasis will be given to the differences between IFA v6 Plants and other currently commonly used standards such as IFA v5 FV.
About the Instructor: Astrid is originally from Denmark and has a Master of Sciences (MSc) in Agricultural Science from University of Copenhagen. She has over 25 years of experience in North American agricultural industries with focus on growing, harvest and handling of crops. Astrid started in the USA, involved in graduate student programs in crop pest management at Washington State University. Astrid has continued her involvement with the Pacific Northwest crop research communities, while specializing for over two decades as a professional pest management consultant for perennial crop growers. The past 10+ years, Astrid has incorporated an active role in the field of implementation of food safety and environmental sustainability programs specific to growing, harvesting, and handling of crops including in roles as Safe Quality Food (SQF), GLOBALG.A.P. and Sustainability Certifications auditor, and as CB GLOBAL G.A.P. Scheme Manager and Trainer. Astrid currently works with CCOF as CCOF’s GLOBAL G.A.P. Registered Trainer.
