Receive a 75% Refund of Your Certification Fees

Certified organic operations across the US can apply for a reimbursement of 75% of their certification-related expenses up to a maximum of $750 per scope now through the end of October. Scopes are crops, wild crops, livestock, and processing/handling. USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) will accept cost share applications in all US states and territories.

Many state departments of agriculture are administering organic certification cost share in addition to FSA. Click here to view a directory of cost share contacts in each state.

To apply through FSA, contact your local FSA service center; click here to locate it. Applications will require documentation that eligible expenses have been paid and that the operation is currently certified organic.

To receive the maximum possible refund, we encourage CCOF-certified operations to apply after they have paid their certification and inspection fees or if they are certified for a single scope and have paid $1,000 or more in eligible fees and thus are eligible for the maximum $750 payment. 

CCOF will email all CCOF-certified operations a customized Cost Share Packet that includes application forms and documentation of eligible expenses. CCOF schedules your packet to arrive after you have qualified for the maximum reimbursement for your operation.
