The California State Fair takes place July 14-30, 2023 in Sacramento, California. CCOF will be hosting a display and booth on July 14-16 at the California Cannabis Exhibit in Expo Center Building 6. Come see us!
You won’t want to miss hearing from CCOF’s Caitlin Slay when she speaks on July 16 at 2:00 p.m. in Expo Center Building 6 about whether cannabis can be organic. Slay will explain the history of the OCal program, what it means to be an OCal cannabis producer, and key requirements OCal producers must meet to become certified. She will also give an overview of how the well-documented benefits and trust we find in organic agriculture that can now extend to California grown cannabis.
The first of its kind, OCal certification offers a unified and government regulated standard for comparable to organic cannabis. Until cannabis is legal on the federal level, this allows producers in California to demonstrate the conscientious and transparent organic methods they use to produce high-quality and healthy cannabis products. CCOF quickly embraced the OCal program and applied our 50 years of organic expertise to supporting cannabis cultivators, distributors, and manufacturers.
Slay’s presentation will dig into how CCOF confirms the OCal certified products you buy really earn the OCal seal. We will then hear CCOF certified OCal producer testimonials, where you can learn more about what inspired these operations to pioneer the OCal program and how they are protecting their environments, workers, and consumers.
We hope to see you there!
