Phillip LaRocca, Proprietor of LaRocca Vineyards, Elected Chair of CCOF Board of Directors

(March 14, 2014) Santa Cruz, CA - CCOF announced today Phillip LaRocca, proprietor of LaRocca Vineyards, has been elected chair of the CCOF, Inc. Board of Directors. LaRocca replaces Will Daniels of Earthbound Farm who held the board chair position since 2006. LaRocca has represented the North Valley chapter of CCOF on the Board of Directors since 1988. He previously served as vice chair of the board in 1997 and as chair from 1998-2000

LaRocca started his organic career in 1969 farming row crops in Quincy, California, while teaching at Feather River Junior College. LaRocca Vineyards was certified by CCOF in 1975, and will celebrate 40 years of certification in 2015. Today, two generations of LaRoccas farm over 110 acres of organic wine grapes in the Sierra Foothills, and dedicate their lives to mastering the art of organic winemaking.
