Musician Sophia Scott to Perform at “We Are Organic” Celebratory Dinner with the CCOF Foundation

Event Celebrates Organic Farming and the Organic Community

(October 3, Santa Cruz, CA) – The CCOF Foundation is pleased to announce that country-influenced pop artist Sophia Scott will perform at its celebratory “We Are Organic” Dinner on December 12 in Monterey, California in conjunction with the Organic Grower Summit.
The “We Are Organic” Dinner will celebrate all things organic—the growth of organic, inspiring stories from Future Organic Farmer Grant Fund recipients, and a festive organic meal with friends in the organic community. All proceeds from the dinner go to support the CCOF Foundation
Musical guest Scott’s performance will add to the festivity of the event. Scott’s musical career took off after she posted covers on YouTube that she recorded in her bedroom with just her guitar and a microphone. Today, she’s developed her own sound and has moved into the role of singer-songwriter, with strong and effortless vocals that have been compared to Carrie Underwood. Scott’s music provides an edgy new twist on the country/pop music crossover.
The CCOF Foundation advances organic agriculture for a healthy world through programs that educate future organic farmers, help consumers understand organic, assist organic farmers in need, and provide ongoing training for organic professionals. Over the last five years, the Foundation has gifted over $500,000 in grants through the Future Organic Farmer Grant Fund, impacting more than 33,000 students and teachers of organic agriculture nationwide.
