What do I need to send to CCOF if I am a private label owner and my products are processed by a certified co-packer?

I am a CCOF certified private label owner having my products made at a CCOF certified co-packing facility:

I am a CCOF certified private label owner but I don’t have a certified co-packer yet:

I am an uncertified private label owner having my products made at a CCOF certified co-packing facility. Have your CCOF Certified co-packer submit the following to:

Submit the Product Application and make sure that your co-packer has already added the product to their certificate.*

Submit the Product Application.

Submit the Product Application. If you are not in control of ingredient sourcing, labeling, and the product formula, you are not eligible for certification until you find a certified co-packer.

Product Application for your products.

Submit a color copy of your product label(s). Be sure labels meet labeling requirements.

Submit the co-packer’s certificate listing your branded products.***

Submit a H2.0A listing your organic ingredients and organic certificate for any new supplier.

H2.0B Product Formula for each multi-ingredient product they process for you (not required for single ingredient products).

 

Submit an ingredient statement from the co-packer so CCOF can match it to your label ingredient statement.

Submit an H2.0B Product Formula for each multi-ingredient product you process (not required for single ingredient products).  This will be removed from your OSP once you have an ingredient statement from the co-packer.

Color copy of your product label(s). Be sure labels meet labeling requirements.

Once you have a certified co-packer, submit the organic certificate for the co-packer listing your branded products and an ingredient statement.

In addition to the requirements above, if you are a CCOF certified private label owner who purchases, takes title, or takes physical possession of ingredients, additional information may be required, including the H2.5 Brokered Products and H2.6 Broker Suppliers OSP forms listing your organic ingredients and organic certificates for any new suppliers.

* If your CCOF certified co-packer or private label owner is an authorized contact for your operation, we can accept updates for both operations at the same time. Let us know if you would like to add an authorized contact by emailing inbox@ccof.org.

*** In general, the private label owner will submit the product for approval by their certifier after the co-packer has achieved approval for the product from their certifier.
