Para ayudar a salvar estas brechas, la Fundaci\u00f3n CCOF, American Farmland Trust (AFT), y Daily Harvest formaron una asociaci\u00f3n para fortalecer la viabilidad de las granjas org\u00e1nicas. A trav\u00e9s de subvenciones directas, formaci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica y tutor\u00eda, esta iniciativa proporcion\u00f3 a los agricultores las herramientas necesarias para la transici\u00f3n a la agricultura org\u00e1nica, mejorando al mismo tiempo la salud del suelo y el \u00e9xito de la explotaci\u00f3n a largo plazo.<\/p>\n<p>Este programa plurianual prest\u00f3 apoyo a los agricultores a distintos niveles, desde actividades locales de divulgaci\u00f3n hasta asistencia t\u00e9cnica y financiera individualizada. A lo largo de tres a\u00f1os, 30 explotaciones recibieron subvenciones de $30.000 cada una para facilitar su transici\u00f3n a la certificaci\u00f3n org\u00e1nica, ayudando a convertir m\u00e1s de 190 acres de tierras de cultivo. Los agricultores tambi\u00e9n adquirieron valiosos conocimientos a trav\u00e9s de 23 eventos comunitarios sobre temas como la gesti\u00f3n del suelo y el agua, la educaci\u00f3n financiera y el acceso al mercado. Adem\u00e1s, los programas de tutor\u00eda pusieron en contacto a agricultores en transici\u00f3n con cultivadores org\u00e1nicos experimentados, fomentando el intercambio de conocimientos y el crecimiento empresarial.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de ayudar a los agricultores a mejorar sus operaciones, esta iniciativa tambi\u00e9n explor\u00f3 formas de integrar a los peque\u00f1os productores en cadenas de suministro m\u00e1s amplias. Aunque sigue habiendo retos, como garantizar un acceso estable a la tierra y ampliar las oportunidades de mercado, el programa demostr\u00f3 el poder de la colaboraci\u00f3n impulsada por la comunidad.
