El NOP solicit\u00f3 informaci\u00f3n sobre c\u00f3mo actualizar la normativa org\u00e1nica, que actualmente hace referencia a una pol\u00edtica obsoleta de la Agencia de Protecci\u00f3n del Medio Ambiente (EPA) sobre ingredientes inertes en pesticidas.       Los ingredientes inertes son cualquier sustancia distinta del ingrediente activo en un producto plaguicida, incluidos disolventes, diluyentes, estabilizadores y conservantes. Una norma NOP actualizada es importante para preservar las herramientas en las que conf\u00edan los agricultores org\u00e1nicos y para crear un camino a seguir para que las empresas investiguen y desarrollen pesticidas m\u00e1s suaves permitidos para su uso en la producci\u00f3n org\u00e1nica.<\/p>\n<p>CCOF resalt\u00f3 que cualquier cambio en las regulaciones org\u00e1nicas debe ser pragm\u00e1tico en su implementaci\u00f3n, minimizar la interrupci\u00f3n del acceso de los productores org\u00e1nicos a herramientas cr\u00edticas y alinearse con la Ley de Producci\u00f3n de Alimentos Org\u00e1nicos. Hemos trabajado estrechamente con miembros de CCOF y l\u00edderes del sector org\u00e1nico en nuestra carta de comentarios.<\/p>\n<p>El CCOF recomienda que el NOP adopte la pol\u00edtica actualizada de la EPA permitiendo ingredientes inertes espec\u00edficos, incluso en productos pesticidas de riesgo m\u00ednimo e ingredientes inertes de dispensadores semioqu\u00edmicos limitados s\u00f3lo para uso en dispensadores pasivos de feromonas. Adem\u00e1s, el CCOF recomienda que el Consejo Nacional de Normas Org\u00e1nicas (NOSB) realice una revisi\u00f3n categ\u00f3rica de estos ingredientes inertes en cada Sunset Review.
