Mediante un proceso controlado de 14 d\u00edas en varias etapas a una temperatura termof\u00edlica de 131 grados, los residuos alimentarios se convierten en compost para uso agr\u00edcola y biog\u00e1s neutro en carbono para la producci\u00f3n de electricidad. La instalaci\u00f3n hace todo esto en el interior, sin escorrent\u00edas, al tiempo que recupera energ\u00eda en el proceso. A pleno rendimiento, la planta est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ada para generar 6,2 millones de kW\/h anuales, lo que es m\u00e1s que suficiente para alimentar la instalaci\u00f3n y enviar el exceso de electricidad a la red. Con m\u00e1s de diez a\u00f1os de planificaci\u00f3n, la instalaci\u00f3n demuestra un planteamiento respetuoso con el medio ambiente en materia de reducci\u00f3n del gas metano de los vertederos y gesti\u00f3n de residuos.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aplazado para el 10 de abril<\/strong>de 15.00 a 16.30 horas en la planta de digesti\u00f3n anaerobia de Kompogas, situada en 4300 Old Santa Fe Road, en San Luis Obispo, California.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Se trata de una visita privada s\u00f3lo para miembros del CCOF.
