{"id":33353,"date":"2019-08-19T17:15:24","date_gmt":"2019-08-19T17:15:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ccof.org\/new-report-from-calcan-highlights-climate-change-challenges-and-solutions\/"},"modified":"2024-04-23T21:06:57","modified_gmt":"2024-04-23T21:06:57","slug":"new-report-from-calcan-highlights-climate-change-challenges-and-solutions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ccof.org\/es\/news\/new-report-from-calcan-highlights-climate-change-challenges-and-solutions\/","title":{"rendered":"Un nuevo informe de CalCAN destaca los retos y las soluciones del cambio clim\u00e1tico"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El lunes 12 de agosto, la organizaci\u00f3n socia de CCOF California Climate and Agriculture Network (CalCAN) public\u00f3 un\u00a0<a       href=\"http:\/\/calclimateag.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Cultivating-Resilience-August-2019.pdf\">publicaci\u00f3n<\/a>\u00a0que pone de relieve el reto que supone el cambio clim\u00e1tico en las explotaciones agr\u00edcolas de California y reclama soluciones impulsadas por los agricultores.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>La publicaci\u00f3n resume las investigaciones que eval\u00faan las repercusiones actuales y previstas del cambio clim\u00e1tico en la agricultura de California, como la escasez de agua y los cambios en las precipitaciones, el aumento de las temperaturas y el calor extremo, las plagas, las enfermedades y las malas hierbas, y los incendios forestales.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n destaca las estrategias de adaptaci\u00f3n en las explotaciones y las soluciones pol\u00edticas que pueden ayudar a cultivar un sistema agr\u00edcola m\u00e1s resistente en el estado. Las recomendaciones pol\u00edticas incluyen el aumento de la asistencia t\u00e9cnica a los agricultores y ganaderos a trav\u00e9s de la Extensi\u00f3n Cooperativa y los Distritos de Conservaci\u00f3n de Recursos, el desarrollo de la planificaci\u00f3n del uso de la tierra y las herramientas de apoyo a la toma de decisiones en las explotaciones, y la reforma de los seguros de cosechas para incentivar las pr\u00e1cticas agr\u00edcolas resilientes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Estas recomendaciones llegan mientras los legisladores estatales consideran el AB 409 (L\u00edmon), un proyecto de ley patrocinado por CalCAN que establecer\u00e1 un programa de subvenciones para financiar herramientas de planificaci\u00f3n centradas en el agricultor que apoyen la adaptaci\u00f3n al clima en todo el sector agr\u00edcola.
