Green Tractor Farm is a certified organic family farm growing mixed vegetables and cut-flowers in La Cienega, New Mexico (20 minutes south of Santa Fe). The farm operates on 3 acres. The farm serves local markets including: 2 weekly farmers markets, local natural food stores, a small CSA, a food hub and restaurants.
Green Tractor Farm is a fun and fast-paced place to work. The physical nature of the work is both challenging and rewarding. The farm crew at the height of the season typically consists of 3-5 people.

Green Tractor Farm is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic person for the Wash/Pack and Greenhouse Manager position for the 2024 season. This individual is an essential part of our team and is expected to communicate well, keep an upbeat attitude, maintain a high capacity for work and at times, to operate autonomously. This position requires attention to detail and independent decision-making capabilities. Occasionally, this Manager is expected to stay outside of regular hours to ensure tasks are completed on time. Farm work is inherently physically demanding and requires someone who is motivated, has a good attitude, can tolerate working in all kinds of weather, and is able to lift at least 50 lbs at a time.
Green Tractor Farm has a well-developed yearly plan and it is the Wash/Pack and Greenhouse Manager's responsibility to help execute the plan and change where needed, ensuring the farm is on track for its goals. This requires experience in mixed vegetable production. The wash/pack and greenhouse manager will work closely with the overall Farm Manager/Owner. On-job training will be provided for the qualified candidate as needed.
Crop wash/pack- overseeing all aspects of vegetable washing, packing and organizing the wash/pack facilities. This includes: understanding the harvest list for the day, managing and organizing coolers, keeping track of orders and fulfillment, keeping the produce handling area, clean, food safe and well organized.
Greenhouse- Sowing, thinning, potting up, watering and keeping track of pests, disease and maturity of transplants in the propagation area.
The job is Full Time from March 1- December 1, 2024. With the possibility of year-round and multi-year employment.
Skills and qualifications:
-Preferred: At least 2 years experience on a production farm, including some management of employees. Will train if no farm experience.
-A valid drivers license to fulfill job duties.
-Ability to lift 50 lbs comfortably.
-Ability to commit to full season of work (March-December)
