This position is a year-round staff position that is a minimum of 32 hours a week, but could be full time if combined with other responsibilities depending on the desire and experience of the applicant.
Pay: Commensurate with experience ($20-$30/hr) + Health Insurance, Dental option, 1 week paid vacation, 1 week Paid Time off. Possibility for longer unpaid leave during the Winter. Up to 5 days paid sick leave. Potential stipend for housing or commuting more than 30 miles if living off-site.
The CSA Manager works closely with farm owners and a team of managers to oversee and ensure the smooth running and success of our 600+ member CSA/Produce Subscription service. The CSA Manager is the face of the farm to our partner producers and customers, handling customer service, and communicating with customers via newsletters,etc. The position also prepares for and oversees the packing and loading of some 650-700 boxes weekly (Wednesday & Fridays).
The Ideal Candidate is organized, has strong computer/office skills, can self manage well, has a passion for food and farming, loves improving efficiency and systems, and can handle annoying customers with grace. Excited by the idea of splitting your time between the physical work of managing the on farm CSA pack and digging in at the office? Good at self management, but enjoy working on a team? Qualifications: Candidates must have two or more years experience working on a mixed vegetable farm, previous experience with CSA or other applicable sales/management experience, basic Spanish language skills, and be willing to work in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
