Peterson Family Farms and Three Sisters Organic are featured farmers in a new television documentary series called “Beyond the Harvest.” The series explores the farm to table phenomenon and highlights businesses in California’s Central Valley.
The series will air for 13 weeks in Fresno, Chico, Redding, and Bakersfield. Episodes will also be released online. The broadcast schedule is available online.
The first episode of the series highlights Vernon Peterson of Peterson Family Farms. The series’ host Ray O’Canto explores the Peterson Family Farms orchards and packing facility following freshly picked peaches and nectarines from the farm to a restaurant in the Bay Area. Not only is Peterson a CCOF member, but he also serves as a member of the CCOF Board of Directors.
In the second episode, O’Canto visits the Soghomonian family and Three Sisters Organic. The Soghomonian family has farmed grapes in the Central Valley for over 70 years and have been certified by CCOF for over 30 years.
Future episodes include profiles of CCOF-certified Kozi Farming and D & S Farms.
Beyond the Harvest is a collaborative effort between NTD Media Films and Stephen Paul of Homegrown Organic Farms. For more information on the series, contact Beyond the Harvest
