CCOF is excited to continue offering food safety certification by and for organic producers in the 2020 production season. Not only do we cover your organic crops and handling, but we can also audit your non-organic acreage alongside your organic or transitioning acreage while we’re out there. If given enough lead time, CCOF can even combine your organic and your food safety audits in one visit!

CCOF has long been a trusted source for premier certifications, with competent, friendly local inspectors spread out over various regions and climates in North America. Our inspectors come from production backgrounds and understand the unique aspects of organic practices and how these overlap, complement, or conflict with food safety requirements. Growers who have undergone our combined organic and food safety audits have lauded the experience, saying they appreciate driving the fields and looking at certain records only once. Having one inspection day as opposed to two yields back precious time for you and your farm.

We are excited to announce that we have hired additional staff for the 2020 audit season and are developing our Spanish services in our food safety department. We are dedicated to timely, efficient service and these additional resources represent our commitment to our organic community and to food safety. The Food and Drug Administration’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) is in full swing and CCOF is here to help our producers navigate regulatory and market requirements.

CCOF provides GFSI benchmarked food safety certifications to the GLOBALG.A.P. standards. We recently updated our CCOF GLOBALG.A.P. Program Manual to include a new inspection cancellation policy and a new food safety certification fee structure, which can also be found on our website. We can also provide tailormade quotes for your unique compliance needs. Please contact foodsafety@ccof.org for more information. We look forward to seeing out in the fields!
