Postharvest Field Day
Wednesday, June 27 | 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Pescadero, California
Join CCOF for a field day focused on low-tech, low-cost postharvest handling techniques for small- to mid-scale organic farmers. We will visit three farms nestled in lovely Pescadero, California, where we will observe innovative postharvest handling facilities in action: Pie Ranch, Dogwood Farms, and Blue House Farm. This field day will emphasize the importance of postharvest handling in maintaining the integrity of an organic product throughout the supply chain and ensuring quality delivery to the end consumer. We will also review Good Agricultural Practices for food safety. Registration is $25 for CCOF members and $30 for non-members and includes an organic lunch. Register now!
