In the face of climate catastrophes taking place worldwide, CCOF is leading the charge to create a climate-resilient California and United States. On February 18 and 19, CCOF will be joined by California State Senator Anna Caballero at the CCOF Annual Meeting and Advocacy Day, where we will release the CCOF Roadmap to an Organic California: Policy Report.
The release party for the report will be hosted by the CCOF Foundation, CCOF’s 501c(3) nonprofit arm that supports organic farmers and producers across the entire Untied States. Join us for organic food and cocktails, a photo booth, and a performance from the San Francisco-based musical group Before the Brave.
CCOF sought out Before the Brave for its musical talent, but the band’s name itself couldn’t be more fitting for this event. On February 19, CCOF and nearly 100 organic advocates will courageously march the steps of California’s Capitol, meet with policymakers, and tell them how organic can create healthy communities, healthy economies, and healthy soils.
CCOF’s goal is to grow California’s organic acreage from 4 percent to 10 percent of the state’s agricultural land by 2030. We have the evidence to support the many ways growing organic acreage would benefit people and the planet, and we’ve identified the tools we can use to get there. All that’s left to do is be brave and forge ahead. Before the Brave is the perfect band to set us off on our journey, as we advocate for the changes that are vital to the future health of California and its residents.
Join us for the CCOF Foundation Reception with keynote speaker Senator Anna Caballero and live band Before the Brave. Also be sure to register for the 2020 CCOF Annual Meeting and Advocacy Day! Space is limited, so don’t delay.
