Sierra Valley Farms is owned and operated by Gary Romano, sole proprietor. We are a organic vegetable farm, farmining at 5,000 feet elevation in Sierra Valley, the northeastern portion of the Sierra Nevada. We have a unique farm, using special farming techniques in a high altitude, harsh environments. Due to our shorter seasons we utilize season extension hoop houses and green houses, along with farming 6 acres outdoors, to grow year round. We have an organic line of value-added horseradish condiments, microgreens, and organic cocktail mixers, and grow specialty crops like wasabi, and have a native plant nursery. We feature agritourism events on the farm durring the summer, such as the only "On-Farm farmers market" in California here from june-September, and have a montly farm-to-fork "Dinners in the Barn" Summer Series featuring famous guest chef's from the Reno/Tahoe area that provide a five-course exclusive dinner, farm tour, wine tasting and dinner music from June- September.
