At One Gun Ranch, we farm according to Biodynamic principles. We sow, plant and harvest according to the Moon, Sun, and Planets. The Biodynamic approach to farming sees itself as a self sufficient, living organism, and as such, every living thing is a vital part of that life cycle.
Our Compost, that we call Super(ior) Soil, is made on the land using these same principles. Our ingredients are all living things that are recycled back into the soil. We compost pure manure from organic dairy cows, alfalfa, yarrow, chamomile, stinging nettle, oak bark, dandelions, horsetail and valerian flowers. The result of this thoughtful and caring process can be found in the quality of the produce grown in our soil all season long.
