Spring NOSB Meeting Will Be Held Online April 29-May 1

by Jane Sooby, Member Services Advocate |

The National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) is a federal advisory board that makes recommendations to the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture on materials for inclusion on or removal from the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances, as well as federal regulations for organic production, handling, and processing. NOSB meets twice a year to consider materials up for sunset review and other topics related to organic regulation.

The spring 2025 NOSB will be held virtually from April 29 through May 1. Online public comment webinars will take place on April 22 and April 24. Both the meeting and webinars are open to the public, and links to join are available on the NOSB meeting page.

All meeting materials and issues NOSB will discuss are listed in the meeting agenda, and all proposals and discussion documents are included in the meeting materials.

The deadline to submit written comments is April 28 and the deadline to sign up to present comment at the webinars April 9.
